In collaboration with the HOPA Group, Trikaya has developed a project to build 400 new apartments in the Písečná housing estate in Blansko. The joint project was selected by the Blansko City Council as the most suitable option in terms of the city’s requirements and was recommended to the City Council for approval. The Blansko City Council selected the project proposed by Trikaya and the HOPA Group as the winner of the tender.

The project calls for the construction of 433 apartments. The offerings will include apartments ranging in size from 1-bedroom to 6-bedroom units. The project will also include approximately 600 new parking spaces, most of which will be located underground, as well as commercial spaces and a new kindergarten building, which will belong to the city. The kindergarten will have two classrooms and its own playground. Blansko will also receive 100 square meters of commercial space and two barrier-free apartments free of charge. The above-ground portion of the parking garage will provide 60 parking spaces for the public. The project also includes a park and a public playground.

The winning design was prepared for the collaborating companies by the architectural firm Abras. “The residential buildings will feature green roofs, a textured floor plan and facades, and a recessed top floor. We believe that the abundance of balconies will give the whole complex a bright and airy feel,” says project designer Monika Sirná.

The new development should also benefit the current residents of the housing estate. In cooperation with the city, there are plans to extend the public transit line and relocate the turnaround and bus stop closer to the new development site. In the future, a bus stop could be built between the Pod Javory nursing home and the business academy building, and another will likely be built in the opposite direction near the new development.
